Health Tips:
Please take from these tips what you believe to be appropriate for you, while keeping in mind that this is not medical advice. Always remember to consult with your doctor regarding your condition and what is best for you.

Post Treatment Thoughts and Tips:

  • I know that after finishing treatment, I felt so lost. Treatment and the focus on getting rid of the cancer consumed my daily life. Now, I have to begin to try to find myself again.

  • I am a little scared that I am alone with this now. I am not getting examined once a week and treated with a medicine to kill the cancer.

  • I am wondering when I will feel like myself again---“normal”. I am so tired still.

  • I was really worried about going back to work and being able to keep up with my old work habits.

  • I feel different now. I feel like a different person since the cancer. I have a new start.

  • I am now handling my life and everything in it differently. I am going to take better care of myself now.

  • I needed to have a long conversation with my doctors after treatment to be able to let go. I now only worry about the cancer coming back around the time of my check-ups.

  • I found a hobby—something for me.

  • I spend so much more time enjoying my family and children.

  • I value my friends more and set aside time to be with them.

  • Having cancer opened more doors for me—new people—different perspective—new opportunities.

  • I try really hard now to eat right and to exercise.
